Vashon Island has a ton of great spirits and wines coming straight from the island itself. Below are some of the great wineries and cider makers on Vashon Island. Feel free to reach out to us. We have some other great places to experience.
We have a lot of options when it comes to the “over 21” folks.
Palouse Winery is open year round and is the FIRST winery you will see when landing on Vashon Island’s north end. Palouse Winery is open from 12-5, Saturday and Sunday. They often have events and special tastings so watch their website or check the Vashon Island Blog Events page.

Vashon Winery is a tiny “garagiste” winery producing less than 600 cases of wine annually. Garagiste is a moniker used in Bordeaux, France to describe garage-size wineries who make exceptional wines without owning their own vineyards.
“We’re so lucky we get to be distillers. Our hearts are in every bottle. We believe in making spirits right — by hand, from scratch, using the very best local ingredients we can find.”
We are a family business. And we care deeply about what we make. Our process is honest and intentional: to use the best local and sustainable ingredients we can find, and to make spirits right — from scratch — grain to glass.
Dragon’s Head Cider
“At Dragon’s Head Cider, our award winning ciders are made with a traditional approach, which means you will never find us using apple juice concentrate, over sweetening our ciders, or adding other flavors to our ciders. We love the story that apples and pears can tell all by themselves. And so we keep it simple. Press high quality fruit, ferment the juice, put it in a bottle. We believe one of the keys to creating great cider is to have control over the entire process. For this reason, we do the pressing, fermentation, blending and bottling all right here on the farm.”
This is Vashon’s newest edition and we are totally excited about it. Cliff and his team have been working on Vashon Island beers for a long time. Soon they will have a community pub up and running right across from the Vashon Island Library right in town.
